Application process in general:
If you are applying as a student, young professional, experienced professional, or for a management role and have persuaded us with your application, we will then invite you to our selection day. The selection day includes an interdisciplinary interview and various exercises depending on the entry level, such as handling case studies. You will need to complete an online test in advance if you hope to join us as a Young Professional, Experienced Professional, or in a management role.
In addition to analytical thinking, creativity and communication skills, it is important for us to find out if you are a good fit for us. To do this, we will ask you various questions about specific situations from your past history, and how you acted in these situations. It is important for us to know you as a person and assess your individual approach. We also want to understand what integrity and compliance mean to you, what personal values guide your actions, and whether you share our code of conduct.
Our selection process for all entry levels are held online on MS Teams. Depending on the level, we reserve the right to meet you in person on site. Of course, this also applies the other way round: at your request, you can gain an impression of us at our office at any time. Just get in touch with us!
Our selection process and exercises are usually held in German.
Several observers will take part in the selection process. Typically, the following people will be introduced to you at the start:
- Volkswagen Group Consulting consultants or, depending on the entry level, partners
- A Human Resources colleague
- A moderator
The moderator will manage the selection day and explain the selection criteria. The observers will mainly be silent listeners, but will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Students
You can do an internship with us in two business areas. As a Visiting Consultant, you will gain initial insights into the work of a consultant and work with the team on a specific project for 8 to 12 weeks. We also offer the possibility of a longer internship (3 to 6 months) or employment as a student employee in the Business Management business area.
You can apply to us at any time, but ideally four months before your planned internship start.
Wolfsburg is the headquarters of the VW brand and the Volkswagen Group and is therefore our central site. An internship in Wolfsburg provides the ideal opportunity to get to know Volkswagen Consulting. Depending on the needs of the project and the support options on site, we can also offer an internship in Munich if required.
