1.
What motivates you most about your work?
My motivation is mainly due to the fact that Volkswagen Group Consulting gives me the opportunity to help shape future-centric and challenging projects within the Volkswagen Group and, at the same time, to develop myself professionally, methodologically, and personally at all times. There is also a healthy mix of enthusiasm, top performance, know-how, creativity, friendliness, humour, good naturedness, and diversity throughout Volkswagen Group Consulting.
2.
What has been the funniest or most unforgettable moment that you have experienced with your team?
To be honest, there is not this one unforgettable moment. There are just so many different, really great team events: from team dinners, to attending hockey and football matches together or visiting breweries.
3.
In your view, which project that you have worked on so far has had the greatest positive impact and why?
In my opinion, all the projects I have worked on have had a very unique impact within the Volkswagen Group. Whether I was helping to configure PowerCo’s financial processes as part of the battery strategy, or was involved in the various performance programmes to ensure the long-term competitiveness and future viability of the Volkswagen Group. I am thrilled to see how many project results we have achieved over time and that we have the opportunity to work on a wide range of forward-looking issues in our projects.
4.
What advice would give a new colleague about being successful at Volkswagen Group Consulting?
Be enthusiastic, curious, ambitious, cooperative, team-orientated, motivated, far-sighted and take responsibility to work on the latest mobility issues of the future in top management consulting within the Volkswagen Group. And also take the time to free up your mind in between – whether you take a short walk or have a quick game of table tennis in the office. There are a number of opportunities for exchanging ideas with colleagues on projects, but also on completely different issues, and then continuing to work in a highly focussed manner.
5.
If your team were one of our brand’s cars, what model would it be and why?
If our team were a Volkswagen brand car, it would have to be a Golf. Through many different experiences, a great vehicle that can be used in the most diverse projects. A wide range of models reflects the versatility of our team, but also each and every one of us. And when the project is reaching its busiest phase, we can clearly all rev up like a Golf R.
6.
Where would you find someone from your team if they weren’t at their desk?
In actual fact, we bump into current and former colleagues throughout the entire plant – it shows once again that Volkswagen Group Consulting operates at the most diverse places within the Group. And within the Volkswagen world, it is an understatement to say that “you always meet twice”. And it usually then leads to lunch.
7.
What is always in your glove compartment?
In the past, CDs were always essential in the glove box, but now I always have my music on my smartphone. Driving is only half as much fun without a good music playlist.
8.
Hand on heart: Which office – Wolfsburg, Munich, or Beijing? And why?
First and foremost, I really like the fact that Volkswagen Group Consulting has different sites. Depending on the project, you then have the opportunity to work at different sites within Volkswagen Group Consulting, but also within the entire international Volkswagen Group. Personally, I really love working at our headquarters here in Wolfsburg – the heart of the Volkswagen Group beats here in the “Autostadt” Wolfsburg. What is more, apart from the Volkswagen Group, Wolfsburg is also home to the Phaeno Science Centre, the Art Museum, Volkswagen Arena, and a host of great restaurants. And if there is not enough going on in the city for you, the festivals in the neighbouring towns or in the city of Braunschweig are just a stone’s throw away.
1.
What motivates you most about your work?
I am motivated to develop our company for and with colleagues and to learn something new about others and about myself every day. My main concern is to make technological trends available to everyone at Volkswagen.

The foundation and establishment of the new Scout brand in the USA was unique for me: how often do you have the opportunity to help shape the birth of an automotive company? I look forward to seeing the first vehicles and knowing that I am are part of their history.

Focussed with sleeves rolled up at our table tennis table training for our next tournament.
7.

Chewing gum and sweets. Sugar is my coffee alternative that helps to keep me awake. In spite of everyone’s attempts, no one has been able to convince me to try regularly drinking coffee.
8.
Hand on heart: Which office – Wolfsburg, Munich, or Beijing? And why?
Wolfsburg. Here in Wolfsburg, we are right in the thick of the Volkswagen action and we have the best ways to free up our minds: Mario Kart, table football, or table tennis.

Every business trip is an experience: from charging stops in a small village in Bavaria, to service station workout sessions, coffee breaks with home-made cakes and freshly brewed coffee on the motorway. The amateur DJs among us always manage to deliver the perfect musical accompaniment to our trips.
3.
Which of the projects that you have worked on so far do you feel has had the greatest positive impact and why?
The Circular Economy Group project. I really enjoyed analysing our activities to increase ESG performance, develop new business models and profit pools, and differentiate us from our competitors, at the same time contributing to decarbonisation. Overall, it was a very exciting and meaningful project, as it is extremely important for a Group like Volkswagen to consider sustainability in an integrated end-to-end manner. The project gave me and my team the opportunity to integrate the issue into the DNA of the company.
4.

We are the California: we love our life, we love to travel, and meet new people (on a campsite). At the same time, we are impressed by functionality and pragmatism: on a business trip with the Cali? Not a problem! Spontaneously spend the night in it? Easy! Take the whole family with you? Of course! The versatility of California is our mindset, its flexibility our everyday lives.
6.
Where would you find someone from your team if they weren’t at their desk?
In the car park by their car. The person would look at their vehicle, repeat how incredibly cool it is, and show me various gadgets, such as the iPad mount on the rear bench seat, the integrated umbrella in the driver's door, or the driver assistance systems. And I would be thrilled because I would have learned something new..
7.
What is always in your glove compartment?
A map of Germany, Austria and Italy. Just don’t put your trust in technology alone, and be prepared for all eventualities – perhaps that comes from my parents. So I am always perfectly equipped and am guaranteed to find my way home.
8.
Hand on heart: Which office – Wolfsburg, Munich, or Beijing? And why?
Munich – my home town. I was born and raised here, and being to close to the Alps with the never-ending recreational activities they offer gave me a lot of energy every day, even as a child.
